Is KCYS training required?

At this time, Keeping Children and Youth Safe (KCYS) training isn’t compulsory for our members since the nature of our ministry requires each member to accompany and be responsible for her own children at all times.

All members are encouraged to attend a KCYS training session, however. It is a Diocesan policy that all volunteers have a background check and attend a KCYS training session, and as our ministry grows and we branch out into service to our church community, KCYS training will be required.

Our Ministry Coordinator (and her husband) are current with KCYS certification.

How do I join?

Joining The Little Way for Moms and Kids is easy! Just complete our Member Survey, e-mail the Ministry Coordinator, or join us for our Monthly Meet & Greet on the first Sunday of the month after the 8:30 a.m. Mass during hospitality (coffee & doughnuts in the gym).

Is there a wellness policy?

Yes. In short, mothers and children are restricted from attending if they are ill. Please read the Wellness Policy for details.

Can I send my child to playgroup with a friend, relative, or babysitter?

No, mothers must accompany and supervise their children at all times.
